FAQS

Pre-orders

If you order any pre-order items, then please review the item product description as some of our items can take 8-12 weeks to fulfill.

You will receive updates about your pre-orders via email. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we put together your unique, handmade and AANHPI pieces.

Shipping

Free Standard Shipping on U.S. Orders Over $200

You will receive your order anywhere from 5-9 business days from the date that it is shipped out, not necessarily from the date that the order is placed. If you order any pre-order items, then please review the item description as some of our items can take 8-12 weeks to fulfill.

After your payment is authorized and verified, it can still take up to two days to process your order. This is just an estimate, though, and doesn't include weekends or holidays.

Standard Shipping is limited to the 48 contiguous United States. Shipping addresses in Hawaii, Alaska, APO/FPO, PO Boxes and US Territories will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. You will receive a shipping notification email that will notify you of the carrier we've used to ship your order, and the different tracking options available for it.

Refunds/Returns

Thank you for shopping at LAROWAN! We do our best to make sure that your items arrive safely and that you're satisfied. Because we're a small business, we kindly appreciate that you reach out to us first before requesting any refunds and/or exchanges.

We offer refund and/or exchange within the first 7 days from the date it was delivered. If 7 days have passed since the arrival date (all packages have tracking), you will not be offered a refund and/or exchange of any kind.

Eligibility for Refunds and Exchanges

  • Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • The item must be in the original packaging.
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Only regular priced items may be refunded, sale and pre-ordered items cannot be refunded or returned.
  • If the item in question was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they arrived defective or damaged. Our items are unique and we have limited availability. Items that are eligible exchange can only be swapped for an item of equal value. For example, if the item was a shirt for $30 USD, then a replacement/exchange item(s) can only be up to $30 USD.

General Care for Products

Please look into the product description page for any advice on how to care for your handmade items.

For jewelry:
- After wearing your jewelry, wipe with a clean, soft, barely damp cloth to remove any dirt or cosmetics.

- Store each piece of jewelry individually in a soft pouch or cloth to prevent scratching. Avoid salt water and harsh chemicals such as chlorine or detergents, which can harm gold and gemstones.

For clothing:

1. Hand wash with care using mild detergent and room temperature or cold water. Do not wring. Air dry only. Wash color, denim, and whites separately.

2. If machine wash, use a delicate or short cycle with lukewarm or cold water. Mild detergent is best.

3. For items with embroidery: Embroidered part should always be ironed on the reverse side, in between two pieces of cloth. Do not wet the embroidery prior to ironing. Do not use a steam iron.

4. For items with indigenous textiles or textile treatments such as weaving: As these are mostly handwoven, some parts may loosen or snag. Avoid getting it in contact with sharp or abrasive objects.

For candles:

  1. Each time you light your candle, be sure to let the wax in your candle melt completely to the edges of the container (about 1 hour) before blowing it out. This will help prevent “tunneling" where only the wax in the center of the candle melts down.
  2. For the best candle care, remember to avoid burning any candle for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. This is a safety precaution and will make it so that your candle can be used again on multiple occasions.
  3. Trimming the wick of your candle before you relight it is essential to keeping your candles clean and burning nicely. Always check that the wick is centered in the melted wax and regularly trim to about ¼” tall.
  4. If you don't like the smoke of an extinguished wick, try using a wick snuffer or dipper.
  5. To keep dust out of your candle when it is cooled and not in use, remember to cover yours a few hours later with a paper topper, lid or cotton bag that it may have come with.
